Comprehensive Coverage.
This type of automobile insurance coverage pays benefits to the insured for any damages sustained to
their insured vehicle and any expenses resulting from loss of transportation in an event other than collision, i.e. fire, theft, hailstorm, flood, and vandalism. On personal auto insurance policies,
this is often called "other than collision" coverage.
